USB Device Not Recognized
I've had my PSP for a little over a year now and up until recently every thing's been fine. But a little while ago, My USB Mode hasn't been working. Like every time I plug it in, it shows this pop up.
I havn't done anything out of the ordinary. Well, I did buy a new 2gig SanDisk, from Best Buy, but it worked fine when I first used it.
I downgraded too, but it was working fine then too. I guess it stopped working when I put a PS1 game(Resident Evil 1) on my card, and, later, went to take it out when all of the sudden that pop up, well popped up.
So, now I have a 3.03OE-C firmware, and 2 gigs of storage, but they're useless.
Any suggestions, or things that I should do? Please help, Thanks. |

I've tried formatting, and nothing happens (that is, I still get the pop up). I've also tried all my ports, and each port with nothing in the others. As well as restarting my PSP, and my PC.
Oh, theres no driver either. I get "Uninstall Driver", in the driver panel of the USB properties. I'll click that but it just closes the window, and when I try using the USB Mode again, it still won't work.
But, I'm going to format my card, and try the "Uninstall" again. |

This may sound dumb, but it might fix the problem: Have you rebooted your comupter and then tried it?
I get that problem on my 3rd usb port with my PSX controller adapter sometimes, because I am plugging it in and unplugging it.
Try rebooting and doing it again. If it doesn't work after about 3 attempts, then format.

try installing the drivers for a PSP type B
get this file http://www.zshare.net/download/usbmount103k-zip.html
copy the se plugins folder to the root oof your MS enable the plug ins
enable usb mode on your psp from recovery
you should see new hardware found and it will ask for a location to install the drivers from, you can select install this driver form a specific location
the driver is located in the pc foler of the usb mount download.
you can also use this to play iso/cso games that are stored on your pc via a usb cabl; no wasted memory stick space. |

I don't why it's not working, but sorry, It seems like I've tried all of this, so thats why I'm just like "nope, tried it, I'll do it again" haha
But, I've restarted/rebooted my computer...more than a few times. I like your idea urineanus, but how would I go about putting the file into the root of my MS? |

It still won't work. On the link julie gave me, the last two won't work. The steps tell me to do things that can't be done.
