Since the PSP price drops, I plan to buy one.
Could you tell me which kind of firmware could I expect to have now?(downgradable?)
Should I have to buy the PSP quickly or it's already too late?(3.3O coming in shop?)

In fact Iâ₠¬ÃƒÆ’¢â€žÂ¢m French and as in France the price is very expensive (more than $250) and the firmwares are different, Could you tell me which firmwares are downgradable?

Anything that has 3.03 fw and below is downgradable

well the popular ones are the core pack and the entertainment pack, the core pack contains 2.5 and the entertainment one contains 2.71 so they are both good.

The core pack is the basic one which cost $169 actually? Should I have to ask to the sellerman the firmware before I buy it or it's not necessary?

I guess the MD cards are cheaper here too! France cost sucks!! (TVA )

they will not know most likely but you can look at the letters on side and things. they have a link somewhere in this site

i m from france too i got it from the game in paris .. i haf downgraded it to 3.03 OEC .. Wait for sometime sony is reducing the psp price , i guess already reduced , check out in stores how much it costs now

Yeah the cost was already cut by $30
I’ll see tomorrow in all the gamestop shop near my town. Hopefully buy one which not needs GTA to be downgradable

Hello!
I bought my PSP this afternoon...I checked the letter on the box, It was a "K" so I was expecting to have a 2.81 but actually it's a 2.71 (no need the GTA LC 2.0)
I'm glad and gonna downgrade it tomorrow after a good reading of the tuto on the forum...as you can see my english is not very good...I don't want to comit a mistake!
