Default Stripped Screw Possibly?? help...

Whelp.. today i tried to take apart my psp to put in a new button set but i cant seem to pry the screw above lose... Ive tried tightening it and then re-unscrewing but nothing.. looks a bit striped but i wouldnt know..

I havent taken out the warrenty sticker screw out yet, so my question is.. does the screw circled in the picture above need to be taken out to remove the faceplate? If it does what should i do to remove it?

Any help is appreciated thx..

Default Stripped Screw Possibly?? help...

wut size screwdriver r u usin make sure its #0. take out all the others if u still can seem to unscrew that what attempt to unscrew it as much as possible. then slowly try to pry the faceplate of that screw without crackin anything jus stripping the inside where the screw goes. once its off swap the buttons then fill the stripped whole inside the faceplate with strong super glue and let it dry then put it back together. make sure not to use that screw again if u can find another that size or a lil bigger like the screws from a remote those work great. thats what i did it works

watch it real close as your doing it if its not turning at all then your just stripping it if you can turn it and it just keeps going you (like me) snapped off the other side of the faceplate that it screws into ... easy fix is either 1 leave it alone and dont take off your faceplate or 2 take off the face plate and use abit of thumb strenght and unscrew it that way.

Default Stripped Screw Possibly?? help...

It can't hurt to put a very tiny drop of super glue (the gel kind works best, DONT USE TOO MUCH) on the end of the screwdriver. just enough so it will stick to the inside of the screw head but nothing else. Press it in and hold it for 10 seconds then try turning it. Worst case the glue doesn't have enough strength to turn it out and you just spin it and are left where you started, best case it's enough to loosen the screw out. Just don't put a massive blob of glue otherwise you'll just glue the screw in nicely.

Default Stripped Screw Possibly?? help...

Well, i my brother whos a Enginer sugested that we try to screw the head off, so i could pull it out the other end. I agreed. so when we did that, the head poped off, but the screw went the the left, and was about fractions of an inch from damaging the button board.. that scared the shit outa me.. but i finally got it off..

Never should have trusted my brother with things.. cuz he got his ****ing finger prints all over the screen like a ass. looks like ima have to buy some 100% alcohol and some cotton balls. Everything worked out ok. Thx for your ideas.

Ill post a picture of the bitch tommarow.
