Helping a PSP Newb out

ripping the update folder, gets rid of only about 19mb, but then you can play any game ever made from now until the future like 3.30fw games on a 3.03 custom firmware. My suggestion is the first thing to do when you take your psp out of the box is to put on a screen protector.

So right now all psp's in stores like wal mart and target n junk are belo 3.30? because i plan to purchase one and i wanna run homebrew and all the good stuff.

they should bem just buy it and youll be fine they mostly come with 3.03 or lower...

Yea, im buying mine from Walmart in 2 days i cant wait im so excited it comes with a TA-082 mobo and the f/w version is 2.60 I went to walmart n took julies sticky of what version mobo and f/w ur using by looking at the box and thats what it was it said ss259 and I...I cant wait hopefully sanek u get ur psp soon and we can both run into newb troubles with them.LoL peace

Here i just made this updated guide to tell what firmware is in the box before you buy it. Use this to get your new PSP...good luck man
