umd games help!

hello everyone!......ok so here is my problem my umd games wont load up....... i took the psp from my girls lil bro but i think he did something to it .....mayb thats y he didnt mind me having it........it had the 2.7 firmware then went to 1.5 then went to 3.03 oe-c i didnt checkif it worked before doing that but i doubt that would of been the problem.......anywho it loads up and it makes sound but it just doenst seem to load up anything.......any help would b appreciated......thanks!

Hmm, have you tried an ISO? If the iso works it could be the drive itself is burned up. A good way to test this would be to load up whatever umd dumper you use and try to dump it, if you can then its not your drive. But if you can then try to load up that iso. If that works come post and let me know...otherwise i would venture to guess that your drive is burned

its doesnt load up? what doesnt the psp or the umd?

if its the psp then it sounds like a brick

if its umd then, its just probably that umd,

if none of your other umds load up at all, then its your umd drive

There has been several posts about OE firmware causing the UMD to act like it's inoperable/dead. This personally happened to me. The supposive fix "which also worked for me" was to turn the PSP off. Turn in back on, and open the UMD and close it. You might have to do this a few times but end result is your UMD drive magically lives again. It should work for you as well uless you do indeed have a bunked UMD drive.

man i been trying everything and nothing is happening only that load circle on the bottem right screen...........i called a repair shop and they said $69.00 to replace the umd drive.........ahhhhh this sucks but i need my psp......
