Well lets face it, they are not very loud. Its been annoying me for sometime now, i spoke to a guy (a sound engineer) about this and he showed me this way of doing it. It works well and they are much louder.
Tools needed:
Fingers of steel!!! (or some pliers)
A soldering iron
First thing you need to do is remove the grey covers of the headphones. To do this hold the grey cover with the pliers and twist the headphone, it should come off quite easily.
I have drawn a diagram for the next bit to make it easier!
The next bit involves the soldering iron so heat it up. You will need to de-solder the copper wire shown in the diagram, removing it from part A. You will then need to solder it onto point B, which is on the other side of the resistor. Dont worry i did this myself, its not that hard. It just takes some patience and a steady hand.
Click the grey headphone cover back on with the pointy bit facing downwards towards the wire (as it was) and try them out!!
