Ok.. so it took a long time, but the cable coming out above the left trigger button finally broke. The grey shielding has been cut for a few months, and just a few days ago the metal wire inside broke. I'm in the middle of reinstalling the original antenna now.

Just a little FYI.. I have a private message but can't read it because I don't have 20 posts. That sucks.

I need to know where to get one of those wires, I've already bought a wire that someone from acidmods told me would work and it doesn't :-( what kind of wire is that? Can you link me up?

The wire you need has a U.FL connector on one end, and whichever antenna end you need. If you post a picture of the antenna you have in mind, I can tell you which end. My wire connected the antenna to the internal wifi card in an old router.

The usb end came from Lowes, a hardware store. It was a 3 foot USB entension cable, that came with 5 different detachable USB ends.

I posted from my dad's store. Parents are divorced, and my dad isn't an idiot like my mother was at the time. I moved out shortly after that too, by the way.

I did have a hacked firmware, but I meant a firmware capable of reading 40 GBs. At the time, the highest memory amount able to be read was 4 GBs, I believe.

You bought the whole adapter? All you needed was an antenna.
But it's RPSMA. So you need the same as me, and RPSMA to U.FL connector.
There are a bunch on ebay that I just now found out about. I think i'll be buying one today.

Yes because I couldn't find an antenna by itself for less then 10$. Plus this one is smaller then any of the other antennas I saw. Thanks :-) you answered my question something acidmods didn't do.

Yes, the first one. SMA is primarily used in Radio Antennas. Walkie Talkies.
RPSMA is Primarily used in Wifi.
