Default PSp brick?

Sooo a long ass time ago I bricked my PSP, well I think I did. I was downgrading my psp to 1.51 I think and for some reason, the lcd won't turn on, but the led lights indicate green... So is that considered a brick? It is right? I follwed all the steps correctly, except the last one I suppose which stated to wait 60 seconds to turn your psp on, but i only waited like 10... and I have Pandora unbricker and everything, but I think you need for the PSP LCD to be on... so any help from anyone?

I posted this in two places... not sure which is right place sorry ><

Are you saying that your LCD screen is broken? You can't break your LCD if you brick it. Also your LCD screen will show the progress of the unbricking when you do it, that is if it is not broken.

well the thing is that after I downgraded, the LCD screen just wouldn't turn on. I've pressed the brightness button many times by the way, since people said to do that...

ok, not to be rude, BUT NO CRAP PANDORA BATTERY LAWL. The thing is, do you think you can even run pandora's battery if you can't even see your psp screen? i'm sure you had to run something on the psp, but if your screen doesn't turn on, what do you suggest.

No one's trying to be rude, a little smarty maybe but lets see if we can narrow down and eliminate all problems. You say that the power light comes on but on screen correct? Since you were downgrading and did not finish right? So if that is the case you can not get it to boot to recovery mode correct? That is a brick and the screen will not show anything but a blank screen, if you have the Pandora memory stick and the unbricker battery you should be able to fix this. I have never heard of a downgrade killing a LCD but stranger things have been know to happen. Try the Pandora and let me know if it work.

I'm having the same problem. Except mine went all the way through the flashing and then said Successful, it X to restart, well i did, and nothing happend. My light comes on; green if its not plugged in and orange when it is plugged into the AC Adapter. I followed every instruction in the downgrade thread, i never unplugged it from the AC adapter, just the USB. Since I just bought it like 4days ago i'm sure i can return it and be like hey this just stopped working and then get a new one, but I was hoping for a better way. I tried the safe reboot thing (Holding down the R button and restarting but nothing seems to work. I'm very sad, I just dropped like 250$ on all my PSP stuff. I'm begging for help. <3

maybe if i leave the battery out and put it back in later it will fix it?

Try pressing the brightness button if not you bricked it, and you need a pandoras battery.

i'm having the same problem. i have a second psp and have replaced the lcd with mine and am still having this problem. i read that some hardware failure can cause NRAM corruption. it's been dropped from about two feet. i was wondering whether there is anything you can do in the case of NRAM corruption.
