If you already have a PSP fat, then no.
But then again, I had DS Fat, and I bought 3 Lites right after that. So it all depends on your pockets.

Why the hell would you need 4 nintendo ds'?

Anyway, if you don't already has a PSP, I would say go with the slim..

I honestly like the fat psp more, and probably would just get a new fat psp, if mine broke, but thats because you can do more modding with it.

Although it's lighter and slimmer, the battery life is supposed to be longer. Not a reason for upgrading from a fat but may persuade someone to buy a psp slim rather than one of the wannabes!

Yeah, but only if you use the fat battery on it. The "slim" battery is only 1200mAH so the extra energy efficiency is not apparent. I think using the fat battery with it kinda takes out the "sexiness" factor...

If I were to choose between the two right now, I'd say the fat. Homebrew is more developed there. I firmly believe that homebrew will eventually pick up on the slim, but in this instance, I'm all for instant gratification.

Fortunately, I can afford both.

Eventualy, homebrew developers will spen more times on slim&lite and the Fat will be less on the market.
