What does downgrading pacifically do for your PSP. How is this going to help your PSP in any way. Somone please help me understand this

It enables your PSP to run Homebrew.This includes PS1 Games(After you go to Custom Firmware,Homebrew games,Emulators(N64,NES,SNES,GB,BGA,..etc).

Downgrading to 1.5 then allows you to install custom firmware-from there you can:

Play ps1 games
play "backup" psp games
Install emulators for god knows how many cosoles
Customize how your psp looks
There are thousands of homebrew apps. I have never said this, never felt i needed to and i always hate it when people say it to me but in your case USE THE SEARCH
