Default broken psp

I got a broken psp and I dont know how to fix it. I bought this thing off ebay thinking it was bricked but its just broken. I know pretty stupid. Well its not a brick, the psp just doesnt go on. The green light goes on and thats it. The backlight doesnt go on. The guy who had this before opened it up before and I dont know what he did cuz I cant open it (I dont have the right screwdriver). So please list anythings on what the problem could be and how/where to fix it. The repair companies are way to overprice and I dont trust them. I really dont want to invest any more than 30.00 into this.

i guess its around 30-50, you buy a pandora's battery to unbrick it you will have no problems, and a universal unbricker for use at anytime

well when my other psp broke the backlight would go on for a few seconds then shut off. I tried the pandoras battery and it doesnt work (I used it with my bros psp so I know I made it right). There is no sound and pushing the brightness button doesnt work.

Also when I made the pandoras battery I had to format my ms so I put all the contents on my desktop and when I was done, I put them back on. For some reasone my isos/csos run choppy when they used to run super smooth. I dont know if the file got jacked up in which it shouldnt or my psp is jacked. Thats my other psp's problem.

Its extremely easy to completely trash a psp if you open it up without a clue to what your doing. I work on that stuff for a living, and even I broke one trying to fix it once.

If this guy opened it up and broke something on the motherboard, then I think you just bought a lemon. If the mobo is really damaged (which it probably is) its not good for anything but spare parts. Parts as in faceplate and analog stick and such.

I just opened it up.... It doesnt look like he took out the LCD there are no marks on the black foam stuff around it. I took it off anyway and its connected fine. Any other ideas or is this psp completely screwed?
