dropped a custom firmwared psp, turns on....yet....
im almost definite its NOT a brick, because as Country said, a brick is caused by messing with the flash0, which is software, whereas dropping your psp would break something physical. if your 1 year warranty has run out, its best to open it up and try fix it. if you cant, just sell it on and buy a new one
