Default psp slim motherboard switch?

i was reading around about the psp slim and how it doesn't support the 1.5 kernel the most homebrews run on. so i was wondering if it was possible to just switch out the guts from the original psp into the slim chasis? this way you can keep the old one's software range with the "aesthetics"(video out) of the new one. anybody try anything like this yet?

Default psp slim motherboard switch?

wont work. the slms motherboard is very very different than the fats.
the fats motherbaord is in 2 sections:
1)main baord
2)headphones+wifi+memory stick reader
while the slims motherboard it just one board with everything soldered on.

also, the video out wouldnt work for the follwoing reasons:
1)different locations
2)different sizes
3)psp slims is soldered on while the fat is on another part if the mainboard (see above)

and finally, yes the slim doesnt have the 1.50 kernel (not yet but people are working on that )
but it looks like every application/game thats comming out now (homebrew wise) is supporting the slim and then hopefully it wll support the video out function.

I would think before not too long a lot of the homebrew will be adapted to the slim anyway.

maybe if u mod the case but even then why? as peeps already stated lots of homebrew is slim friendly and with an old mobo u wouldnt have all the new features.

slim doesn't need 1.50 kernel.
