PIN #4 on L02 chip is not it.

I didn't want to wait any longer, so I lifted the pin last night.
It did nothing. The battery works just like normal.
I could not see any differance in operation.
The lights are suppose to come on when you insert the battery.
My lights did not come on, and the psp booted just fine.
It probably will not charge now, or something stupid like that.

So.... Today I will go and shell out the money for 2 new batteries.
1 to MOD and 1 for normal use. It's money I didn't want to spend, but think of all the money I'll save in the end. Broadband = ISO downloads.

This POS battery is going into the trash.....

Yes the trash.....

At least I can ruin the environment with it.
That's about all it's good for now.............

Default Pandora Questions: PSP-110 Battery Small Board

I went out yesterday and bought 2 of the SONY STAMINA Batteries at
Wal-Mart. These are the 3.6v 2200 mAh ones. I charged them both and then cracked one open, lifted pin 5 on the proper chip. Within 10-15 minutes the process was all done. I'm running 3.71-m33. I know it needs some updates, and I still need to learn all about puting HomeBrew and games on it, but it is officially modded.

What?! Did you just hardmod psp-110 battery? Was it the L02-chip's 5th pin you lifted? How did you lift it, is it possible to fix it?

Edit: Oh shit, didn't realize that you said 2200mAh.

I have also got this style battery (psp 110).

Do you know if anyone has tested this yet
And are you sure its this pin

Thanks

the battery is un-moddable as to be honest ive lifted every single pin there is on it and nothing happens, sorry guys but youre gonna either have to:
1.)buy a new battery
2.)go on ebay and buy a pandora from there (£35 is the cheapest ive seen)

I'm another unlucky SOB that got shafted with this POS battery.

Since I can't find anymore information about how to hard mod this thing. I'm going to go with the pic posted above and take one for the team. It'll probably blow up in my face, but this must be done in the name of Science and Hacking.

I'll be back.

edit: This is impossible. I'm just going to buy a new battery.

Okay, listen im just a guest but i will confirm that the Lo2 chip thing on the small board bottom is the thing you need to cut, though ive ready so many forums and found almost nothing about this battery(i have same issue) but i have cut the 5th leg and nothing has happened...so it may be leg 4, i shall give it a try maybe....=X though i hope i dont destroy my battery.... =\/
wish me luck...!

Found a foreign(French?) forum, where, according to Google translator, they believe following the below schematic thingy would work. It doesn't But, also, it doesn't appear to have any negative effects O_o

(Cut the brown ones. They didn't say what the red and blue marks were for.)

Default Pandora Questions: PSP-110 Battery Small Board

Sorry for resurrecting what may very well be an old thread... but browsing around I was still unable to find any possible solution. However... looking at the picture in the above post and the datasheet... I was wondering... maybe the red and blue pins should be shorted to each other?

That would be shorting between VCC and GND on the chip. Maybe the reason this battery is un-Pandora-able is because when you lift the GND pin, it no longer lets the circuit run properly. Perhaps by shorting VCC to GND (and for some reason clipping pin 5 it seems) will read like we want it to?

I haven't tried this yet, but it just crossed my mind. I'd have to look at the board to see if this runs the risk of overheating the battery... but is anyone willing to try this?
