Question Slim battery soldering question (cut foil)

Here goes, I currently have a 3.80 slim psp and wanted to hard mod my battery to create a pandora's battery. Well I decided to take a guitar pick and open up the battery case. Pretty simple stuff, except in my infinite wisdom and luck with electronics, I sliced one of the foils that connects the battery to the circuit board.
My hope was to just do a simple soldering job to reconnect the sliced bits, but the solder only stuck well to the bit of foil on the circuit board and was a fight to connect it to the other side (left in the pics). I have soldered and desoldered this a few times, each time putting the battery back in the psp, but it has never turned on. I haven't separated the pin to make it pandora yet and there is nothing wrong with the psp (AC adapter turns it on fine).

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any info that could help and/or has gone through this as well.

Default Slim battery soldering question (cut foil)

Hey dude I know this doesn't help your problem but I myself am trying to open the battery that cames with the slim.

Did you have to do much damage to the battery case? Like the line between the top of the case and the bottom? I would like to be able to close the case back up and see no damages done to the case.

try taking some steelwool to the foil of the battery, or some really fine grade sandpaper (220 to 250 grit) most of these have a coating that prevents the solder from sticking to them

@Nuxtux: Yeah you will have to crack some plastic, but you should be fine just running a fingernail in the crack while putting pressure on it for awhile until you hear a crack. As far as prying it open goes, dont stick anything in the bottom of the battery, as that's where my problem occurred.

@tremulos: thanks, I'll be getting on that shortly

Actually I had some copper ribbon that has an adhesive backing on one side, so i basically used some fine grit sandpaper and lightly sanded the foil, then stuck the copper to both sides and it works fine.
