Default Not a Pandora question!

Alright..so. My nub isn't workin no mo'. It's all screwy. Adjusting the tightness of the faceplate used to do the trick. But now it's just dead. The nub just defaults to going down and right and won't respond to any movement. How might this be corrected? Or is it Forever Dead?

I think there is a calibration app out there that you can try,...sorry I'm not sure what its called.
If that don't work, you will have to buy a replacement analog stick.

Well, is it normal for the nub to move to the bottom right even with a faceplate off? Does it always defalt to that? Or is there some hardware issue?
