If the green light came on, you have cut the right pin. The reason why it is on the black screen is because you did not do the memory stick part correctly.

You know you need to install different files on your MMS if you are modding a slim. A phat MMS is totally different then a slim MMS.

You have to cut pin 4 on the slim battery to get it to work. I went through the same issues and it cuts on but does not install the firmware. Looking at the chip with the battery connector up, it's the top left pin.

Yes, re-run TotalNewbie installer after formatting your mem stick and select option #4 when prompted to.

I can't see you pic to well so i'm not sure if it's the same batt as mine. It came out of a slim that was bought around xmas and is made in china. The top of the board looks like this. The chip is numbered like this also. If you cannot reattach the pin then I would say no that it will not work as a normal battery, I'm not sure about as just a pandora though. Maybe a resistor leg and a dab of solder will be able to reattach it.

I thought it goes like this:
1 {} 8
2 {} 7
3 {} 6
4 {} 5 <<<< you cut this one right??

Yeah he's referring to pin 5. But on my slim batt which is PSP-S110 Made in China I had to cut pin 4, the top left pin on the chip |
