Default Pandora Battery Question

I just bought a PSP Slim that is preloaded with firmware 3.9

Is the battery of my PSP slim convertable to a Pandora's Battery? Also is it necessary to use pandora's battery every time a new firmware is released? Or after I use pandoras battery once to downgrade and install custom firmware, am I able to stick with a regular battery to upgrade to future custom M33 firmware?

YES AND no AND YES....

click the link in the red, for a easy guide (inside my sig)

also make sure you read the red text, and you use pandora only to put the custom firmware up there...after that, download updates from Dark-AleX - PSP Developer
