3.50 firmware..do i need to downgrade

hey guys..i have a psp that's running on 3.50 firmware. would i need to downgrade the firmware to run games off my memory stick?

and instead of making a pandoras battery you can downgrade with lumines the game because its more easier well for me, and cheaper
you downgrade to 1.50 and then upgrade to any custom firmware you want E.G 3.80m33-5
