Ok, for those who do not want to buy a new battery (btw its wut i did, the battery you are all speaking about is the one that came with my psp too). You should all tell youreselves that you are very brave for taking up the challenge, but you will need to buy a new battery no matter what, because the pandora battery dosent work unless your PSP is plugged to an external power source. I can tell you now, pay 40$ for a good battery, PLEASE DONT BE STUPID AND BUY THE RIGHT ONE!!!(works with pandora) -SONY....
once you did ure hacking...
get a bunch of homebrews (halo, emulators, etc.) and put a bunch of games on your PSP and show off to all your friends about what you have.... there is NO way they wont want to pay you for you to do the same to their PSP (dont tell them how you know

)
you will make your 40$ back in no time!!!
P.S. The Battery you are all speaking of, is one of the ones that go under the name PROT110. Sony had temporarily released this battery and placed it in many of their PSP's (you could only find it in PSP's, never sold seperatly). They stopped distribution because the wires in it made of copper/gold alloy was too expensive to manufacture, though its superior quality to all others (we can see who likes to make money $$ ).
so not only VERY VERY FEW people have the battery (making it hard for anyone to come up with the answer to your questions, but it is also a VERY good battery and you would be waisting it by using -or trying to use- pandoras battery on the PROT110.
OUT!
