ds screen in psp
i wanna do a psp mod, and im gonna put it in a smaller case, but the PSP screen is too big 
a screen around the size of a DS one would be good. Does anyone know if i would be able to use a DS screen with a PSP? |

I doubt it would work. I mean even if you managed to rig the thing up, how is it going work at a different resolution than what the psp outputs?

i dont think it would work. judging from the "take apart your psp" youbute videos i watched, sony packed all the hardware as close as they could to make it small. but if you changed the screen, the psp's motherboard thing would still be the same size, thus doing nothing but resizing the screen. unless you are going to move the dpad/ shape keys and the analog stick someplace else, its going to be the same size... | |

just make the ds with 2 psp screens. That will be wicked

ok then. thanks for the help, i think i will allow tryin to do it then. its just cos i have a psp with a broken screen, and was gonna try puttin it an a GB classic case.
no idea if i could do it or not, i was just askin about the screen before i tried.

Replace your screen. Cheap enough on ebay, unless you really just want to hack it and try something new, i would try putting on a bigger screen!

i have another psp, with custom firmware, so i dont care what happens to my old one. but i just thought it would be pretty sick to have a psp in a gameboy classic case. i spose i could get a bigger screen, thats an idea cheers | |

Heck yeah - Maybe make it so that the screen would be all you see (mount the PSP behind it with enough room to use the buttons.. I can't imagine it would be hard to figure out the output on the ribbon cable pin outs for the PSP, it maybe hard to find a bigger lcd that could run off of it or harder yet to make a converter.
