quick thing i discovered while in iraq
ok guys i have read alot of places that to mod a phat psp you need to mod your phat battery or softmod it, well i have another way i did it. if you have a modded slim battery like i have you may have tried to put it in the phat and it wont turn on. well all you do is plug in the ac power with your slim modded battery in the phat psp along with your mms of course and it will boot it the way you need to read the mms. we didnt want to mod our phat batterys so we did it this way and it worked fine i modded like 10 phat psp's off my 1 slim battery. any questions ill try and answer them and im not sure if people already knew about this but i thought id bring it up anyways. btw my slim psp battery is the 3.6v 1200mah |

LOL - Pazuzu - I agree. And I have close friends and family in and out of there for several years now.
I wonder if this works the other way around (Phat Batery in Slim). I am waiting for a new SD card to arrive so I can sell my GP2X and My PSP Fat (with X2 Battery and get a slim. I would love to be able to hold on to my fat pandora bat to mod it. |

Makes me wonder what it is exactly about the slim battery that prevents it from powering a fat PSP. Way to think outside the box, though, I wouldn't have thought of that. |

well my friend who helped me figure it out is an electrician and we had the idea that it isnt the battery per say that allows you to go to service mode its actually only the info on the battery so we just needed it to to be able to read the info from the battery which is where the ac power came in since the slim cant power a phat. btw if i did not say your slim battery has to be modded lol it might work without it being modded i havent tried it you never know
Ceiling Paint all you got to do is have the mms put that in the phat psp then put in your modded slim battery then plug in ac power and turn it on and it should work fine if you need help let me know and ill help where i can im not the most experienced but i will gladly help ya |
