What Batteries work with what?

I have a bit of a problem. My friend tried to make a pandoras battery for a psp phat and cut the core and battery "juice" went everywhere and he threw the battery out. He dosn't know what battery he needs and neither do I. can someone please help.

Also i am wondering can i use a psp slim pandoras battery in a psp phat just to put custom firmware?

use a official sony battery because the fake ones off ebay wont work and you cant use slim in phat but you can use phat in slim

One: it doesn't have enough power...pretty sure
Two: it gets stuck and is a bear to get out.
