Phat mod: internal memory

I possess the sd adapter 4gb

and found out i can load it inside the umd door without bothering the umd reader..

My problem is the website said it s only working up to 4 gb..

I wanna know if the capacity limitation depends of the firmware when they released this adapter (2006) or is the limitation depending on the hardware.. ( if someone bothers to load 8 gb in the adapter to test..)

i think you can fit a 8gb card in there no problem

Let me know how it goes, I have that very same device and know it defintiely works 4GB (2x2GB cards or 1x4GB card) I just don't have another 4GB card or 8GB card to test. I would love to see this hack completed, so please keep us posted.

After a few searches, I even found a guy who made a 16 gb memory with SD... He just took the sd slot of a card reader, bought a micro adapter did some soldering and it works pretty well... i give you the youtube link you can find the explanation inside the comments...

have to tell you esthetically, it s not beautiful, but i am sure we can put it inside the psp, between the umd plastic door and drive...

So no UMD usage then. That small gap your talking about closes when you close the door. Not for me. I'd rather just use it as designed. It only works on fat PSP and I have the datel MAX 3600mHa battery (it's bigger than that car reader) to having both inserted kinda balances out my PSP.

Good luck with that, would still love to see it when done.

sorry for being late, actually i ve found better : MS adapter for micro sd for 21 dollars, with that, i can load any micro sd into the MS.

So i guess i don t need anymore of this mod!
