Buy one of these -

Battery Tool & Demo
PSP Battery Service Tool - Codejunkies US
YouTube - Datel Battery Service Tool - PSP (Pandora)

It's cheaper than buying a new battery if you hose yours.

Then skip the battery section of this guide - follow magic memory instructions.

http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide)

Get your self a fat PSP - You'll save some $$$ and you can do more with it unless you want Skype -

Read my comments to this guy -

Hope this helps you.

so wait..what CANT i do with my psp slim that a phat can do? (besides infrared)

slim has more ram. thats a huge bonus already and i wouldn't sacrifice that for a phat.

i use eloader to run any homebrew apps for 1.50.

Nothing. Get a slim. I don't think eLoader will work on slim for 1.50 but I dunno. I heard only way to do 1.5 on slim is timemachine.

you dont need to hardmod the battery. i'm using the same battery my slim came with when i first got it. if you have access to another slim thats already hacked, you can use it to softmod your battery, install cfw, and then softmod the battery back to 'normal'.

i dont understand his point for the video there.hes trying to create a pandora with custom firmware already.this defeats the purpose as pandoras used to unbrick your psp so you can run cfw lol

what i would do is go to codejunkies.com for 26 bucks includes s and h.
get the psp service battery tool.not the actual tool battery the service tool

youll see it in a giant box on their site.once it arrives stick your battery in the tool.fat or slim battery and press the button.it safely makes a pandora aka a service mode battery for you.to change it back (needed after unbrick to run psp) just stick it back in and press the button.watch for the lights.green light righthand side means normal left side means service.

ok now that you got the pandora battery, time to create a magic memory stick.just google for totalnewbiinstaller youll find a link that goes to dl.qj.net/etc etc.go there install this and put it on your computer.make a folder to extract it to,and go in folder and click start.follow each instruction it gives, all questions are y for yes.and when you get to where it asks what pandora menu you want press 4 and enter.and viola you now have the means for a mms and pandora.turn your psp with the normal battery off,and remove battery, use tool to make it a service aka pandora, make sure your mms is in your psp and then put the battery back in.wait for no lights to show, press x and wait for your psp to shutoff.itll take bout a min or so as youll see your light indicators flashing.

once off,put battery back in tool, press button to make normal.put back in psp and turn psp on.viola you now have cfw 3.71 m33.now you can customize without pandoraing again to further cfw updates.enjoy =P

Default my first psp (what do i need?????)

well i did it last night, i got bored and decided to hard mod the battery. took quite a while to get the battery open. once open i the chip looks wayyy too small compared to pictures shown on internet, but i scratched off the pcb and that worked but i only got a black screen so i just press x like you said and it installed the 3.71 m33 i figured that the blinking lights meant it was doing something. i also reversed the battery to a normal one with a lead pencil. by the way whats the lates cfw to run or more like the more stable one? anyone.

Oh and Thanks for the help all of u
