ugh i think broke my psp...
ok well after making a pandora and adding cfw 3.80 m33-5... when making the pandora the strip on the bottom (that connects the chip{idk what its called,, but it almost looks like tin foil*} to the rest of the battery) broke off, i tried 2 reconnect it but it wouldnt go,, it actually ripped more... well anyhow i could still play by hooking up my ac adapter 2 it... then 2night i decided to try and fix the battery by taking some tin foil and reattach the battery to tht green chip (u know the part tht has the pin u have to lift up in order 2 make it pandora) and when i did get both things attached i saw a spark! lol it was small though*... well nehow when i put it back into my psp and went to turn the power on nothing happened (at all), after taking the battery out i put back in the ac adapter and decided to give it up... well now it wont turn on even with the ac adapter in!! the screen doest come on, but the green light comes on (no wifi or mem card light comes on) and then when i go 2 turn it off the green light just stays on, it wont turn off unless i pull out the adapter... btw it doesnt turn on 2 recovery either...
ugh im bummed out about this, 4 one thing no one around me has a psp so i cant check wether the problem is just the battery (most likely it isnt becuase even with the adapter it isnt working)... i dont feel like buying a new battery if i dont even know if thats the problem.... i have no idea on what to do and if any1 could help me out that would be really great... thanks in advance guys, u'v pulled through for me b4 but idk if its possible this time....

why? what makes the difference, the thing that was connecting the battery to the chip looks (and feels) exactly like tin foil...?

haha thanks tobo, but i dont think i shorted it... i did freeze it, but i checked on it every 5-10 minutes, i was just waiting for the part tht burned my hand to cool down, even when i finally did take it out it was still a little hot... but ne how about the whole thing, i took it out and put it in 2 c if it worked, and it wouldnt come on,, i decided 2 just mess around since the battery was basically a goner, and i thought... and thought... and i thought 2 make it back into a pandora and c if that worked, well wouldnt u know it, it actually did! im currently creating a magic memory stick, and im on my way back 2 custom firmware!

Do you have another battery to resort to?
Or are you just plugging into AC when you want to play?

alright, this sounds fun...
OKAY so you've got a gigabrick... nice job... im gonna go ahead and say........ TIME MACHINE. bam, someone had to see that commin... what you need dude is another psp to install time machine. what that will do is the mem stick will act like a mms, but instead of installing a firmware, it will boot one off of the mem stick instead... atcually.... if i created an iso of a memstick..... would that work? anyone know? sorry, i tend to jump off track easily.... alright back to TM, if you can get time machine onto your memstick... boot up a CFW with time machine and access flash0 with the select menu. doing this will show you if the nand is busted or not. basically, if you see folders and files there, the nand should still be good and then you can go ahead and try to reinstall a CFW... but then again... if you can get time machine to work, then you'll be able to reinstall a CFW reguardless.... so there would be no reason to use Time machine... eh that's my rant, hope it gives you some ideas |

When I bricked my first PSP I had the same issue with it stoping at flash 1. Did you do a nand dump and save the file before you bricked it? If you have a back up of your original nand dump !from your own PSP! you could try to load that as a last ditch effort. Sounds like your hooped though
**Never EVER use a nand dump from someone elses PSP, NOT for noobs!!** |

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, don't mess with tin foil around batteries for the same reason you don't stick your tongue on them either... |
