Default Basic Hardware Newb Questions Answered Here

Thought this was a good idea at the time so I wrote up common hardware stuff that goes wrong with the PSP.

My faceplate won't shut all the way
-Some third party shells just don't fit properly so some modification to the shell is needed

My DPAD moves to the right/left/up/down
-You closed the faceplate with the rubber contacts/plastic buttons on the wrong way so it screws up

My DPAD doesn't respond
-You put the DPAD ribbon on the mobo in incorrectly

My analog goes to the bottom right of the screen and doesn't move
-The contacts of the analog are not on right. If they are not all fully contacted with the mobo it will not function correctly

My facebuttons moves to the right/left/up/down
-You closed the faceplate with the rubber contacts/plastic buttons on the wrong way so it screws up

My facebutton doesn't respond
-You have something blocking the rubber contacts from the board

My UMD doesn't read the disc
-Your disc is damaged/dirty or your lense is dirty or your lense is broken or the ribbon cable is not on correctly between the mobo and drive

My speakers makes a weird sound
-Check your connections if that isn't right your speakers are damaged

My backlight doesn't work but I can still see the lcd if I hold it up to a light
-The backlight fuse is blown and can be easily bridged or your backlight is fucked

I can't see anything but different color lines on my LCD
-Your LCD is fucked

There is a line through my LCD and when I press it I can see shades of colors surrounded by a black bubble
-Your LCD is cracked

My PSP doesn't charge
-Check your charger/port/ribbon cable between mobo and power board

My PSP doesn't turn on it, the LED blinks then turns off
-Something is shorting the circuits, open it and check

My WIFI doesn't work
-Check the connection between the MS board and the WIFI module, check your WIFI router, turn on your wireless on MS board....

The buttons below the LCD don't respond
-Check the ribbon connection between the control board and the power board

My UMD drive makes weird sounds
-There's something scraping against the lense

My MS stick doesn't read
-It's either a fake MS or your MS board is fucked

My battery doesn't charge
-Check your charging port or our battery is dead

Sweet...

If only this was put up 6 months ago,
wouldn't have had to send my psp away for analogue replacement.

Cheers.

Default Basic Hardware Newb Questions Answered Here

i have found a way to get a free pandora battery! Its for real! i got tired of wrecking my psp batteries trying to make it into a psp pandora battery that i speant hours on the computer trying to find a way to get a free one. I FOUND THE WAY! I will tell you how to do this and i will give you the link:

1.go to this site: prize rebel

2.Create a user

3.Fill out Forums! BUT: MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE THE FREE ONES! THEY WILL STILL GIVE YOU POINTS! You can do the ones that cost money. ex: the cell phone ones. the only advantage is that you get points faster. but that kindof runes the fact that i am showing you how to get a FREE pandora battery.

4.Go to ebay (DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH EBAY!)

5.Search up psp pandora battery.

6.Find one with the lowest price and find how much the TOTAL cost will be with shipping and write down the cost on a piece of paper or in notepad(or whatever you choose) WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU RIGHT DOWN THE CURRENCY TOO! IT WILL BE NEEDED LATER! ex: canadian dollars or us dollars.

7.Go back to prizerebel (and log in if you are required to do so)

8.go to the " CUSTOM PRIZES " page.

9.Find the points calculator section of the page and choose what currency the pandora battery was priced in. Type in how much the total cost of the pandora battery was (dollar sign not needed) and click calculate.

10.After finding the amount of points needed. scroll up (if you have to) to the custom prize request form of the page. Fill it out like so:

Subject: Ebay Custom Order
Points Required: (type the number of points the program calculated in step9)
Your Name/Address/Phone #: (your name)
(your street address)
(Your city, Province/state, Country)
(your postal code/zip code)
Comment: No comments are needed. just whine at them and tell them how much you need the prize.

11.Click request prize.

12.Your prize will be sent to you in anywhere from 6-8 days.

13.Enjoy HACKING.

This tutorial is one i have created. it works 100%. it will be posted on other sites so others can get a pandora battery with ease. This tutorial has been tested by me and my friends and has been followed through 4 times with a 100% success rate. I hope this helps you.

Stop jacking threads. I know/think your trying to help people, but you can make your own threads. More than likely your thread/product will be seen...
