Default need a regular battery?

I am about to downgrade my FAT PSP with CFW 3.80 M33-5. I'm downgrading using a Pandora battery, and MMS. My question is..... after I am done downgrading with the pandora battery, can I just use the AC adapter to power the PSP? (Because I don't have a regular psp battery at the moment) Do I need a regular battery to complete the downgrade process, or can I just use the AC adapter?

After the downgrade you would have to turn on your PSP via AC adapter or upgrade up to 3.90 M33-2+ and install multi_ipl via TimeMachine.
