Default Wondering if I made the battery right.

Well, I opened my battery, and tried to pull the ICO4 pin out with a safety pin. A few sparks flew, but i could not cut it. Wondering if it worked anyway, I put the PSP on AC Power, turned it on, and put the battery in. The orange light came on, and I'm scared to make the MMS, fearing it will brick my PSP.

Making a MMS will not brick your psp. It's when the files are flashed improperly to the wrong location when you'll encounter semi and full bricks.

that's why everyone tells you to back up nand before messing with any of the internal flash so it can be recovered.

As far as the battery is considered you should have used a non metallic item to loosen the pin such as a toothpick.

However I've read posts were the batteries went as far as smoking and still worked as pandora. The worst you've done at this point is fry your battery.

Default Wondering if I made the battery right.

you should read more knowledge about making a pandora battery before making it... as long as you didnt break anyother pins and cause alot of spark and smoke.... if you screw up the circultries.... it is more like to explode when in charging mod.... just stating.... who know...

I can help you open it! Just get a needle or a safety pin.

you may also want to try using the corner of a razor blade to try and break the pin because if you cannot with a safety pin or something like that, the corner of the razor is a but stronger, but still very thin, worked like a charm for me, just be sure not to cut yourself! and I also partially discharged my battery before attempting the mod, below 50%.

you made the battery correctly trust me i know HEHEHE. I made my battery like a serious nnnnneeeeewwwwwbbbbbeeeee would. what i did whas open the battery. stare with amazingment for abut 30 minutes. then taped it to my computer table where i have access to the a video on my computer telling me were to cut but instead of using a solding iron or something I got a lighter and a knife and then i got a regular shaver that u would use to shave the hair of your body. Broke it so i coulg get the razor out. Then i heated the knife with lighter. Then i put it against the leg, did it a couple of times CAREFULLY. Then started using the razor to cut the leg of. And of course some sparks flew scaring the Hell out of me. I started crying in aggony of the thought of my battery being know more. But it turned out it worked YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEE HHHHHHHAAAAAAWWWWWWW. And thats how i did mines HEHE sory for manking a long post

Disconnect all power and pop your questionable battery in...If the power light turns on immediately and nothing else happens, you have a pandora battery. If not, you did something wrong - It's really that simple to test it.
