Will TA 082 wifi module work with a TA 086 mother board

I really don't know, that's a good question. You could always just buy a TA-086 wifi board to avoid problems. Take a look at this.

well a TA 082 mobo's wifi card works great on a TA 086 mobo without any issues just thought i might share it

So long as the input and mounting positions seemingly match up, I am ASSUMING that it will link right up. Unless Sony has decided to incorporate the 'N' format into the psp, there really isn't a change in the architecture.

Even if it does match up and then not work, it will only be a compatibility issue. It won't ruin the module.
