Green Light Only Flicks For A Second, Help?

I searched for this, but did not see anything about this exactly, so sorry if this has already been answered. Anyway, I took apart my PSP to fix the UMD drive, I have taken it apart before, but this time, when I put it back together, the backlight wasnt working, I searched for that, and I found out about a trick to wrap some wire around the fuse to fix it. It worked for a couple seconds and I had the the PSP on so I could see the backlight, but then a second after that, it just turned off, the whole PSP I mean. When I tried to turn it back on with either the battery or the AC adapter, the green light only flicks for a second, similar to when your PSP is dead and running on battery. Does anyone know what I should try to fix it?

the wire you put over the fuse is the problem,you should've used solder,the wire is shorting off the screen or lcd cage,remove the wire andbridge the fuse with solder instead,or if you cant sodler buy some conductive silver paint at radioshack which is even easier than solder for bridging fuses

well I've already removed the wire, and its still doing the whole flicker thing, and yeah, I cant solder for lack of tools, so I guess I will have to look into that paint you were talking about, but there is no other way?

why dont you try and find a new fuse?
