Want to mod psp slim (God of war), but I have a few questions first - Page 3

I used to have a phat psp, back in 2005. I used to play the fuck out of Grand Theft Auto, and I wish I still had it, but my father busted it after I got in trouble. That would of been soo much easier to mod. I wish I would of known about all this back then.

Yes indeed very bad that sounds..sounds..werid how did you get the psp was it a gift or a used cause if he bought it himself then he should know that them things aint cheap

I had a job and bought it after my 2nd paycheck. I don't remember what I did exacly. But it sucked. I remember GTA liberty city stories, costed like $45 used and a 512mb memory still was pretty expensive back then. Oh will i still be able to downgrade? I have fw 4.05 (as i was a dumbass 3 nights ago, and upgraded it) I've heard something like after 4.01 its harder to downgrade?

Look up pandora...A forum search will do you good. GOW psp's are TA-088v1 and TA088v2, so you're set. You may need to use DCv6 if you've got a TA-088v2, but I don't believe there's an easy installer out yet (you need a cfw psp to set it up at the current time, it's only been out for 2 days).

Awesome!!! As while I love my psp, I hate how boring it seems right now, as I do have 4 games for it, but I want to be able to do more with it.

Hey, I know how ya feel...I bought my first psp near 2 years ago and it sat on 2.71 for 6 MONTHS because I refused to buy into sony's rediculously overpriced pro-duo's. Then I discovered the mspd->microsd adapter, downgraded, and started shilling them. Wonder why people are using them now? I was the one who told this forum that they worked and was the first to test pandora with them...Sony makes a damn fine gaming system, but they need to get their heads out of their asses - Their market would be all that much larger if they realized that open standards are the wave of the future (and what we folk on CFW are using now whether we realize it or not).

I know that I personally bought mine for the sole purpose of running GBA emulators on - It's spiraled into more than that now, but how many of you out there did the same thing (albeit for different reasons)?

I AGREE..TOTALLY AGREE..if there work with the developers.they would make a large sell!

True but i don't think they want a fist fight with nintendo or be jumped by all of the other companys that the psp can emulate easaly like sega

lol..thats true..but they can make one thing!!make the ps1 game running in psp!!rather than we convert the files..they can have profit..but dont you think they will get our money from that,lol..

The sony store is offering up some converted ps1 games, but you have to pay for them. Not my cup of tea...PS1 was a dead standard 8 years ago, I don't consider that to be piracy anymore - Simple profiteering on sony's part. It's like buying a Grateful Dead CD - For all intents and purposes the Dead were dead 10 years ago, the only one making any money is the recording studio stamping out the albums. Jerry Garcia, God rest his soul, ain't makin a dime in royalties where he is now...
