How can i tell if my motherboard is a TA-088 excluding opening it up
hello everyone i dont kno if my psp is the new TA-088 model becuase there are 3 types and i think only one type u cant downgrade and im not sure as if its this one can someone tell me how to kno if it is the new type excluding opening it up and voiding the garuntee   
i got it from GAME in Watford high street I got it at 14 August 2008

What type of PSP is it? Is it a speciality pack (Daxter, GOW Etc) if it isnt, chances are 99/100 that you would be fine with this one. These new boards are very new and will take a while to get to us in the UK, I dont think we will see one in retail shops for a month or two

like i said, you will be fine with this one as i dont think TA-88 has hit UK yet.

i would imagine most of the psp that are selling now have the new motherboard

Phat: bought on release, had it for about a year, speakers broke, tried to fix speakers and broke the entire psp...
Slim: bought on release>modded 4.01 ofw to 4.01cfw> bricked>fixed>fried motherboard after about 2 months
new Phat: 3.6ofw>5.00m33-3... its radtacular

as far as I know even the ta088 v2 are no problem to mod and as far as I am informed you can't get the v3 ones in europe or usa yet, so there will probably be no problem in my opinion ^^
