Broke psp Backlight Latch. PLEASE HELP!!

The other day when i was taking apart my psp to put all the parts into the clear case i bought, i had every piece in properly. But when i was putting the lcd screen in i accidentally flipped that little switch for the backlight the wrong way and it broke off. What do i do now? Can it be soldered on?

The connection is so small, you would mess it all up.

This has happened to me all I did was hold the little ribbon in place with some sticky or electrical tape, then put some thin sponge or something over the repair and carefully press the lcd screen back in its metal cage. Hopefully you can get it working again, its a trial and error thing, but I did repair mine and its been working without fail for ages now.

Thank you for your help. When i read this i went and tried to jiggle it around and found out it wasn't in all the way. Bam, it works now lol
