Can I use it for other stuff or is that what it is after I make it one? I'd really hate to have to buy another memory stick.

Default Magic Memory Stick
after u are done installing cfw successfully, it is safe to format ur magic memory stick which will turn it back to a normal memory stick and thn u can use it normally.

yeah man, it's just a MS with frimware on it, reformat it and !POOF! back to normal.
