micro sdhc cards work for homebrew plus mms

ok ive tested this out and if you want a really good card that is also cheap,that plays homebrew and loads pandora setups etc,without delay.i recommend going to newegg.com and buying any micro sdhc cards and get a micro sd memory stick pro duo reader adapter so the micro sdhc can run in the psp using it.

heres a cheap deal with a 4 gig and an adapter.

the 4 gig prolly would.but for 8 gig and 16 gig you will want to upgrade to 4.01 m33-2.going to network update on your psp will get you the latest custom firmware

Hey guys I am going to pick up a psp this week.I have been reading up and it seems like using the Microsd memory is the way to go. Anyone know if the Wintec Filemate CARD-IT-ALL 8GB microSDHC Flash Card is any good?

if your refering to the one that i put a link of,yes the 4 and 8 work great.i only got the 4 gig but someone i know has the 8 gig.since the adapter that comes with it converts it to ms pro duo.there will be no problems

I just noticed that It would be the same price to buy a 4gb micro sdhc with pro duo adapter included and then an 8gb micro sdhc, instead of just the 8gb with universal adapter. Think there would be any issues putting an 8gb into the adapter that comes with the 4gb one?

lots of people do this, there are no issues, the only problem is that the read and write speed is much lower, but not enough to notice if you are playing a game, considering that psp umds are even slower

actually these adapter convertors are not gig specific they just mask the identity of the sdhc.itd be the speed the actual microsdhc runs not the adapter

ah, cool then. I figured might as well get an extra free 4 GB instead of a bunch of adapters I wont use. Currently newegg is sold out of the sandisk 8gb, and they wont be in until 9-26-08. Im thinking of going with the transend, however thier customer feedback is not nearly as high. What to do, what to do. If only I was patient enough to wait for the 16gb micro sdhc's

You could get a 8 gig Micro SD from mirocenter, they have the house brand for $30 and they work great i use 2 of them myself

I'd never just buy the micro sd itself, I'd have an individual adapter for each one, making sure I never lost it.

Don't buy just the micro sd alone unless your sure you can keep track of it

Edit: Found one but it also holds SD cards, I'd have to mod it into Memory sticks+micro sd's
