Internalizing my PhotoFast CR-3100
Looks very good, nice job.
I wonder though, if you completely filled the entire 30gb would you have any slow down in performance and in game. I think not since it's flash memory not a drive but since this much space and information has never been on the psp I'm curious.
I still use my UMD though so I'm not inclined to do this just yet but it would be a lot easier then carrying around 6 ms.
And to those worried about a complete dismantle of your slim it really isn't that difficult. I didn't use a guide or anything when I replaced the mobo and screen and encountered no problems.
As a suggestion with any small electronics, the only thing to fear is those damn ribbon cables which can seem paper thin at times. One little rip and it's all she wrote.
Not as bad as cellphone ribbon cables though, I remember moddin the slider phone way back I just looked at the ribbon cable wrong and the damn thing broke.
Anyways thanks for sharing all the info, I don't think anyone in my area has done this or even knows it's possible. |

I'm actually testing that now, to see if the performance is the same if the cards are all full. I suspect it will be. Also tho I do just want to make sure I write the full 30 just to make sure I can. I only own a few UMD's, and have more than one psp, so losing the drive was no big deal. This PSP is primarily for music, video, mapthis with GPS, and emulators. I've been playing with it alot since I did the mod, and so far no issues at all. It actually feels a bit lighter than before, I guess that this board weighs less than the umd drive did. |

Syph, would it be possible for you to write up a step-by-step guide on how to do this? |

Other than that, all I did was modify 2 pieces. I cut the channel out of the memory card housing, and the rectangular hole in the case. That's pretty much it. The actual mod part is pretty easy like really easy. I'd say 3/10. Now completely tearing the PSP down is more like a 7/10. So really, if you're comforable with small screwdrivers its quite doable. The only things you want to be careful of is the LCD and not getting fingerprints on the inside of the faceplate. Compressed air is handy for reassembly too. |

At one point I had over 60GBs of ISOs. And on my computer, I have 90GBs of music and over 140GBs of movies. You may think that 30GBs is a lot of space, and you could never fill it. But trust me, if you have got the space, you will find something to put there. With the right torrents, of course. =] |

He got in trouble for keeping it on whatever program he was using, so that others could download it. Just take it off the list, so you aren't seeding it back out to other people, and you will be fine. I mean, cmon, some torrents have over 60,000 people that i've seen, download them, and nothing happens to any of those people. |
