Default Internalizing my PhotoFast CR-3100

oh i c, the white switch is the one that's telling the psp that theres a disc inside and the switch at the top left corner is the one that is telling the psp that the umd door is close. So, would you suggest that i dremmel out some of the case or should i leave that white switch up. I dont want to remove that white switch because i might put the umd drive back in. (in the future that is). And also, thanks for the fast response rgarjr

dremel'ing would be the same as removing the little lever on the switch. The ideal thing would be to de-solder the switch but its a pita, so most dudes just yank out the little level.

Actually, now that I think about it, why would you wanna dremel out the case. The 3100 board is sitting on top of that switch. Unless of of course you want it really loose that there is no pressure on it.

Finished doing this mod a few days ago. Have 2 16GB SDHC cards with a combine storage of 29GB.

It's just so nice having plenty of storage space.

Actually to be really honest,cr-5400 is much better coz it doesnt need internalization..
Moreover,if incase something is wrong with the ribbon cable, you cant even use MS in it without opening the entire thing again.

Do you have to take any of the insides out for this mod (I.E. the disk spinner, read lens, etc)? I just put a jewel in, and UMDs don't fit, so I'm wondering if the thickness will be an issue.

Is anyone having problems on a phat with loading off of the cr-3100? i did an internal mod a few weeks ago, and ever since it freezes while loading sometimes.
the read/write light flashes like crazy for like 4 seconds then flashes slowly until you pull the battery out, or pull the mem stick out.

have you guys noticed that if you brick your going to have to open up your psp to put in a magic gate supported memory stick. Well, for me, thats a chance I'm going to have to take.
