I havent used it once since custom firmware, but thanks for your input
Coolest,

But the 5400 is only 25 USD....

Cheers.

thecoo1est, you've got your internal too now? Did you just do what I did, or anything different? I've been using this daily since i got it, no issues at all. 100% happy!

There is a tool to build the maps. Cant remember the name, but if you find the wiki for mapthis it explains how to make the maps. This GPS works as good as any I've ever used. Aquisition time can be a few minutes sometimes. Im told that it's interference from the PSP itself. I think that's why most people use an extension cable and mount it in the car somewhere else. Thats what I was planning to do too, but so far its worked fine mounted right on the PSP.

I just ordered my cr-3100 from shopdigi.com
ttp://www.shopdigi.com/search.aspx?si=&sp=photofast

They have the best price I could find with it coming out to $62.xx shipped. The cr-5400 is also $25 + shipping

for the time being I think that I will use a single 16gb sdhc and my 8gb microsdhc (in the SD adapter) striped to yield ~24 gigs.

Then as the 32gigs drop in price I'll replace the 8 with the 32 and get 40 gigs :O and then replace the 16 with a 64 and have 96 :O and then replace the 32 with a 128 and have 192, and then replace the 64 with a 256 and have 384 :O okay you get the idea lol.

I also ordered a a blue slim housing from dealextreme last week. I'll internalize this when the housing arrives, two birds with one stone

Now the only thing left is to create a super tiny usb cable to stuff in the slot

Guys,

SanDisk's 16GB microSDHC card slips into retail, T-Mobile's G1 - Engadget

Ah, it seems that the 16GB Micro SDs are out already in the wild. So at most, just wait till December, and you'd be able to get them at reasonable prices of like 35 ~ 40 USD per piece (Or even better, wait for the class 4/5/6 versions to come). Plug them into the Photofast 5400, and voila, 32 Gigs on your PSP without a single physical mod.

Cheers.

i ordered a psp slim off of ebay with a broken UMD drive and I did all the work on it today, come to realize that AFTER i do the mod, it will not launch any applications/games/homebrew/isos (legit) I have created a thread here:Having difficulty with this new slim (corrupt IDstorage?) - MaxConsole Forums The unit works fine hw wise, and I am sure that the adapter is not causing the problem with this psp unit. I have been using it to listen to mp3s all day.

And mine is setup so that I can remove the SD cards by just opening the UMD door.

have you tried switching to m33 driver, if your umd iso mode is on normal then its not going to boot games on memstick, you need to change it to m33 driver, if you havent tried it just hit select and choose it from the menu

I have tried the m33 driver, the np9660 driver.

I have used DC7 to build a new IDstorage, formatted LFlash, reinstalled 4.01 m33. and nothing.

then i installed 4.01 ofw, and tried to run the 4.05 update, and it does the same thing.

everything is just hanging on the white psp screen. No error message or anything. :|
