I bought the same case, being not confident enough, I brought it to some techy guy to do the swap for me for a price. I wanted him to reuse my original trim(as read in the reviews at DX), but the guy kept telling me the original trims wouldn't fit.
Now I see you have your original(with the barcodes stuff) on yours, and I decided to try replacing them myself. Can you please give me a simple guide? How far do I have to disassemble my PSP slim to be able to replace those trims?
Is the top trim(the one with USB socket) replaceable? Thanks in advance.
One of the reasons I am going to replace the trim is because my power button no longer slide properly now.

Syph your amazing.
I want to do a clear case, but I have no skills what-so-ever.
And I'll not remember how to keep track of screws, and put something back wrong.
I wish I could trust somebody to do it lol.

I just use lids from water bottles as little buckets. I keep them in a row and put the screws in as i take them out. Then just reverse to reassemble. Its also handy to take pix as you work, then you can refer to what it looked like. Its pretty easy to take slims apart compared the the phats.. way less pieces. I can see hesitation though, if you only have 1 PSP. I have many, so my main one stayed safe while i experimented on others. Still working on the dual nub slim now. Decided i need a custom shaped board to go in there, still drawing it out. |

Ya i bought a few AS IS slims on ebay to play with and restore. They were selling for around 90 or so at the time. Now even as is ones are going for over 100 - 110... its nutty. I swear its the scare of the 3000 unhackable version coming, people are trying to stock up on the 2000 versions. |
