Getting a PSP
Here is what I am doing all;
Im buying a PSP, How ever not until the Black version of PSP3000 comes out, because I like the black PSP better than the silver one. So I am giving the hackers till then to hack it.
If they havnt hacked it then, or to the time i go to buy it. Ill go with the PSP Slim.
However I have a concern...I know the PSP Slims, some of them have a different mobo. Is it possible That if i buy a PSP Slim (will be from Best Buy...due to having a 150 dollar gift card from them) Will not be hackable?
I know some of the Slims had a unhackable mobo. and I've also heard any new Slims are Unhackable for other reasons.
Also If anyone could post specifically what I need to get CFW on my PSP. I know the information is Scattered everyone...Ive found it all but Id like it all in one area if you don't mind.
Just a few Questions for CFW stuff:
1. Do i need to start from the first CFW? or can I go right to the newest.
2. Whats the Kernals do? I read that they released the Kernal 1.5 Addon for CFW 5.00 M33
3. Whats the M33 mean?
4. Yes to all you use google people..ive googled..I get several difference answers...

yes theres a chance that if buying a new psp slim from best buy you could get the unhackable TA-88v3 mobo....
as for CFW, you can go straight to the highest....
you need to use a pandora battery and a magic memstick to get custom firmware
the 1.50 kernal is simply something that lets you use 1.50 homebrew...
m33 is simply the name given to the custom firmware from the m33 team.....

How do you make a Pandora battery?(all i could find was places to buy) | u can use this to make a pandora battery http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide)
and use this to make your magic memstick YouTube - How to make a Magic Memory Stick ( THE BEST WAY)
basically what the pair do is the pandora battery force boots the psp and the magic memstick puts the psp into service mode and alows the user to install the custom firmware....
oh yea, and homebrew is basically these programs and games that people make for custom firmware, and some of them only work if you have the 1.50 kernal installed on your psp as well as custom firmware....

Getting a PSP
Alright. So I have a PSP 2001(pretty sure; Its sitting in the mail room right now)
What would you recommend that I do? (this is to DarkFoxSniper, but anyone can respond)
Ive got this Planned:
Pandora my battery;
Make MMS
Dark Alexs CFW 5.00M33-3
Dark Alexs Kernal 1.05 for 5.0M33
I don't know what the Kernal does..Allows Homebrew? But isnt CFW 5.00M33-3 HomeBrew?
Whats Dark Alexs PSP State Experiment?
Is that a good order? Am I missing anything?
How hard is it to MOD L/R Buttons to glow?
Yeah I know im jumping into the deep end but its what i do ha ha |

alright, well your good on the first part, except since your getting the 2000 series, or the slim, the 1.50 kernal addon wont work(its only for phat psp's) and yes, the 1.50 kernal lets u use certain 1.50 homebrew...(5.00m33 isnt homebrew, its firmware)....
the psp state experiment is a homebrew that lets u save games at any time....
i would also suggest going to 4.01m33-2 instead of 5.00m33-3, unless u want the playstion store...
as for modding the L and R buttons, ull need some leds, good soldering skills, and some solder and a soldering gun....
