Default Bootable PSP

Is there a way to have a psp bootable from PC Startup.

I have an MSI k9nsli platinum motherboard and it is able to boot from USB

When I start the PC up with "USB: SONY PSP MS" as #1 on boot start up my pc halts at Loading NVRAM on mobo boot. I'm so confused I went through the startup and put it as #2 and CD/DVD as #1 and such n such. Still when ever it goes to boot off the psp it doesn't work.

I went through this tutorial
USB Ubuntu 8.10 install from Windows (non Persistent) | USB Pen Drive Linux

Still nothing....

I'm so confused and my finally conclusion is that the psp's hardware is not able to be bootable. Anyone else have this problem. Is there a solution?

why not just use a thumbstick/pen drive? sounds that the psp proposes a challenge.

I don't think it'll work the way you want it to

I think you need a native USB device

The bootable flash drive needs to have a dedicated drive formatted as fat16/fat32. Also, the HP USB tools don't always work 100%.

One thing the latest Ubuntu 8.10 has is a way to make the USB boot disk via script from a fresh install with just a couple clicks. You just need to have an ISO available to do this. I just tested this method on the only sony ms stick I have and it worked on three different computers.
