Default PSP 4.01 hackable?

Hello,
I have just purchased a PSP slim with a 4.01 standard firmware. I bought it because of the PSP potential once "hacked". I read many forums and surf many websites and I was just amazed at the PSP possibilties once "unbricked". Because I am a noob at PSP modding I figured I would purchase a kit from pandorasales.com (slim led battery + magic memory stick)
pandorasales.com/slim-led-pandora-battery-8gb-magic-memory-stic8.html
I received the kit and I followed their instruction and nothing happened. My PSP screen remains black and the green power light stays on.
I tried many times different combination: fully charged pandora battery, hold l, hold r, x...
Nothing seems to work.
I am quite disappointed because I would really like to be able to use the full potential of my PSP slim.

I am not trying to bother or upset anyone, I am just trying to learn and get inform please be patient with noobs.

I would really appreciate and be grateful to learn from the pros.

PS:For the record I am not a total noob I hacked other systems by the past (XBOX and Wii)

Hercule's Easy Pandora Guide is really good to help you.

http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide)

^_^ Make sure you thank him when it works.

Also, don't go to 5.00 M33. Its not worth it, and has an ugly little icon at the end that goes to the PSP Store that has nothing special. To stay at 4.01 M33-2 click the link in my signature.

Your Welcome. ^_^

He can use Dark Alex's Ta-088V3 Identifier to see if he has it. TA088 downgrader but I don't know if it works, but its on his site.

Thanks a lot guys for your help!

No, I have not been able to unbrick my PSP SLIM 4.01 but If I am not mistaking I could have a hope with a downgrader?

I don't know how to use it but I am going to try to get more info on that. If you guys know anything about the downgrader I wouldn't mind some help.

Here is the (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide) by Hercules. Don't forget to thank him he deserves it. ^_^

Here is some info (I love Pandora...5.00 M33 Downgrade) about how to stay at 4.01 M33-2 instead of having to go to 5.00 M33-2.

And here is Dark Alex's Website, incase you need to get some files.

If you read Hercules's Guide and get a Pandora battery and such you will be downgraded and hacked before you even know it.

It isn't offical that he has the TA-088. So don't act like my SUGGESTIONS have no meaning. He might have had wrong directions, and he'll still need the guide. There is some stuff on DarkAlex's website that I gave him that could help him. Read the other posts, and learn how to spell and use proper grammar.

Dear MuffinlyBliss,
Thks so much for ur help. The truth is PSP slim that come with firmware version 4.0 and higher are not hackable. I talk to those guys at tuconsola.com/brick-off-p-1077.htm and they confirmed it. I will hope that someone will find a hack but for now it's not possible.
