Is your Windows having problems in recognizing ALL USB devices? Or just the PSP? |

.....either your usb cord is broken, or maybe its because your windows version (whatever it may be) doesnt accept the usb cord. |

It is pretty rare an USB cable is busted, but then again, anything happens.
When you plug an USB device, Windows should have a "Deng Deng" sound, it's hard to describe sound in words but the first "deng" has a lower tone, and the second "deng" has a higher tone. And when you disconnect the USB device it has another "deng deng" sound but the first deng is higher and second is lower. Heard any of these sounds?
[updated]
I usually use an USB card reader instead, but I tried an USB cable to the PSP just now, it worked. I am using a 1.5 PSP, and all I have to do is go to Settings in the menu, Select USB connection, then enabled the USB mode, and voila, worked instantly. Is this how you did it? |

*sigh* Next time, PLEASE post stuff like this in SOFTWARE. HARDWARE means modifications to the PSP itself and the like, software means stuff like this. My Good Lord. Save these poor souls.
