Default No Power, no light

I have a psp 1001, and am getting no power and no light.

It had cfw 5.00 m33-5, but just died after I formatted the memory stick. I formatted it 2x with the psp 1001, but both times did not automatically load the proper folders on the memory card.

I then plugged the memory card in my computer, deleted those files and placed the memory card in my psp 2001 (cfw 5.00 m33-5) & formatted it there. After putting the newly formatted memory card in the psp 1001, it just died.

I tried with a different battery, as well as running just using the power adapter, both options failed. Tried pandora battery to reflash it but I get nothing. Any suggestions?

This would be quite a coincidence, but considering you are getting NO signs of power, you more than likely blew a fuse. Do a google search for psp fuse repair, and test the main power fuse - They're not hard to fix if you know how to solder.

...Seems highly unlikely that a screwed up memory card could fully brick your PSP. I'd suggest a semi-brick, but as you say that there are NO signs of life, I'd say the main fuse is most likely the culprit.

Guess I'll check out the fuse & see whats going on inside. Thanks for the suggestion.

I took the original fuse off and bridged it with solder but no luck. Any other suggestions?
