5 - softmod pandora?
If its softmodded then you just changed the battery serial number to 0xfffffff a service mode/pandora battery with that program. Hard modded would be where you physically open the battery and cut or lift a certain pin to have the same effect. And yes some psp mobo are fully hackable yet can't create pandoras batteries themselves because Sony patched writing to battery EEPROM on later mobo. There are two ways to return a soft modded battery back to a normal one. 1) generate a new serial number if you didn't write the battery serial number to file before you converted it to a pandora. 2) If you saved the battery serial number to the memory stick then just select the option that lets you restore the original battery serial number from batser.bin (usually stored on the root of the memory stick). This is the better method but the first method works as well. Some newer firmware have this ability built right in or because of a plugin (eg. 5.50GENA-D, 5.00m33-6) that don't require you to run any programs as its done right from the vsh menu. To unpandorize you would need to boot your psp up with the AC adapter only first. Then insert the already pandorized battery once its on or your psp won't make it past the boot unless you were to have a magic memory/ddc stick inserted or timemachine installed.
