Default Will a 32gb memory stick work?

My iPod died, and I'd like to use the PSP as my media player and I want to have enough room.

I have a psp-1001.

try this

32GB memory cards in the PSP. Review. - PSP®General - PlayStation.com Forums

might be cheaper to just buy a used 5g ipod and get 80gb of storage then to buy a 32gb card or try the method on that link. i could see the benefits of having an all in one player, but 32gb seems a bit small when you start putting music, movies, ripped game files, and homebrew onto the psp. but hey, atleast theres an alternative method to a 32gb memory card that doesnt cost the same as the psp itself.

Default Will a 32gb memory stick work?

Thanks, that's a great article you pointed me to. I still think I'll go the 32g route. That way, I can have movies, music & games on one device.

if you went with the method in the article, you can pick up 2 of those 16gb micro SDHC cards for around $50-$60 on newegg.com

Newegg.com - Digital Cameras,Digital Camera Accessories,Flash Memory,Micro SDHC,16GB

and then pick up the adapter for $5 at amazon

Amazon.com: PhotoFast MicroSDHC to MS PRO DUO Adapter. Converts Two MicroSD or MicroSDHC Cards To MS PRO DUO: Electronics

thats just under $120 on 32gb of memory for your psp. i dont think the psp can read more then that, so i wouldnt try to exceed it.

could always buy the sony 32gb card, but those still average $200 online. im tempted to do the mico sdhc route myself, seems like a great value

Yes it's an excellent value. PSP life with my 32gb mem stick has been great. Had it for about 7 months now. no known problems or bugs.

Thanks for the replies. I wound up going with an Archos 5, 250gb. I think I'll do the 32g stick for my son though.

awesome on the dual 16gb cards. i can't believe how SMALL those things are, that's amazing. definitely getting my fiance to buy me this setup for christmas lol

one question on this though. i know the PSP will treat this setup as 1 single card, but how is data saved on the cards, and is there any problems (speed or otherwise) with loading data from 2 separate cards via this method?
