Pandora battery not working.. Help!
Hey guys!
I have bought a pandora battery today (Hot wire) to boot my PSP Slim into service mode and install custom firmware (or whatever is needed to run homebrew games).
I have assembled it and everything, but when i put it into my PSP.. nothing happens. It wouldn't even turn on. The green light doesn't turn on or flash, as if there was no battery inserted..
I have been reading around the internet all day today trying to get it working. I have even made my original battery into a pandora battery using tutorials, but even that just boots it to normal mode..
Anyone got any ideas on how i could get that working and install custom firmware?
Cheers guys! |

not sure about the motherboard. how can i find out?
the hotwire battery runs on AAA batteries. the batteries it came with might be dead, so ill try to look for some new ones and see if it works. |

^^ok, are you doing as follows?:
1. insert magic memory stick
2. hold the L trigger (do not release)
3. insert pandora battery (still holding L trigger)
then a screen should pop up to install cfw 5.00m33 and other options
get back to me...
edit...i don't like the "green pwr light it blinking"...i just inserted my pandora and my pwr led stays a solid green...so something is up with that

ok, 1 of 2 things are happening to you...
1. your psp may be unhackable via pandora battery
2. you have a bad pandora battery (i've personally never heard of the type of pandora you have, so that really throws me off, mine looks like a normal psp battery)
EDIT...ever check out the guide the XAVIS posted up to tell what type of motherboard your psp 2003 has?? that may be your problem, i have the same guide in my sig

6)Date Code:
This codes are usually never present on japanese and american psp.
They are found just above the serial code under the battery that is it if it is present in ur psp....
I dont have a pic but if somebody has it plz give it to me....
if its 8c then u cant hack ur psp...8b can usually be hacked....and below that all are safe for u to buy!!
| Mine has Date code : 8C
so there is no way to hack it then? |
