Default PSP 3000 UMD Door Issue

Ok well long story short, I bought a broken psp on ebay and wanted to fix it up. I got a little more than I bargained for but thats ok, it's here so I might as well fix it. The screen is broken and the UMD Drive wont read. Those I can order parts for and fix, but when I went to test the UMD drive, I noticed that when there is a umd in the psp that the door wont close all the way. It seems like it closes enough that if I fix the psp as a whole It will all work normally, but I'm just worried if I'll need a new casing for the psp itself or not. when you are looking at the top of the psp the left side of the door has about 1/4 cm of space between the door and the psp. It gradually gets closer to the psp as you look to the right. Sorry about the long text but I like to be thorough.

Sorry, I only have my phone's camera, it has sucky resolution but anyway, the first photo is the before picture
PSP Door 1.jpg
Showing you that I am putting a game in (well technically its a movie but its a UMD lol)
PSP Door 2.jpg
And the final result
PSP Door 3.jpg
I'm not too worried if it wont affect anything in the future, I just found it odd. If it will affect things in the future how do i go about fixing it? If you know how to fix it anyway then sweet, I'll go for it. This Psp is a wreck anyway, so go ahead and shoot ideas

try reataching the metal push arm, it's what kicks the UMD out when you open it and i don't see it attached in those pics. if it's just laying inside it can and will interfere with the door closing.the loose end goes into the slots on the door

I've already tried everything with the metal arms. I took it out and put it back in, same effect. I had it out completely for these photos, to show that it wasn't interfering with anything. It's actually a lot easier to take it out and put it back in with this one than the phat.

hing pins? what are you talking about?

I dont know, so I thought I'd include a couple more photos

The best guess I can possibly come up with is that the metal prongs in this picture are pushing too hard against the UMD when its in, thereby holding the door out slightly.

If not, then I have no clue.

P.S. is there anything you want a look at inside the psp?

I'm guessing that one of the metal bars that holds it open is bent
