A mod chip would just be a much more tedious task than to just switch mobos, considering that mobos can be easily taken out and screwed out of the enclosure.

Check the Opening Up PSP sticky to find out where to completely dismantle the PSP, then from there, just switch mobos, then re-assemble.

If you are looking to replace the mobo...
1. You need alot of patience
2. You will void your warranty
3. Correct, the u.p. DOES NOT work with TA-082 mobos
4. You would probobly be better off trading your PSP in...
